Interactive Musical Wall

Now children can relax and express themselves creatively in one of the waiting rooms at Montreal’s CHU Ste-Justine Hospital, thanks to Moment Factory’s first interactive musical wall. The permanent installation is part of “La maison de la vie” (“house of life”), a project by producer Denise Robert designed to make hospital visits more pleasant for families and young patients.

The musical wall was developed to stimulate children’s imagination. When they place their hands near the wall, it produces colourful lines and shapes accompanied by harmonious musical notes. Consisting of a wall projector

connected to motion sensors, the wall makes a different tune every time a child plays with it.
