The quick wits of Les Grandes Gueules change directions in a fast, intuitive way. The comedians humorously transform themselves onstage and the stage transforms just as fast. One minute a blind man sits in a circus tent, the next minute comedians perform under a virtual streetlamp. Imagination runs wild and laughter fills the air.
Quebec radio stars and comedians Les Grandes Gueules invited Moment Factory to create the stage set for their live performances. The challenge was to create sets that reflected the performers' humour and that were easy to set up and tear down while touring.
Moment Factory achieved maximum effect by creating a multimedia backdrop that reflects the speed and improvisational aesthetic of comedy. Moment Factory used three projection surfaces, allowing a quick and constant change of scenarios. A screen shaped like an arch, located between a transparent screen in the front and backdrop screen, created the illusion of 3D.
