Where: Vancouver
For: Phaneuf
Visitors aim balls at snowflakes drifting down the surface of a giant interactive screen. If they hit one as it falls, the snowflake softly explodes. It's Guerre des tuques revisited by Moment Factory... Inside the pavilion, visitors are immersed in the images and sounds of Montreal and Quebec's culture and people. Movies, music and performances compliment the projections of Habitat and other iconic places, people and entertainers.
Moment Factory was invited by Phaneuf to create the visual and interactive content for a pavilion focused on promoting Quebec and her culture to international tourists in Vancouver attending the 2010 Winter Olympics. The intent was to recreate an experience of Quebec and her culture that allowed visitors a virtual visit to la belle province.
Moment Factory created the innovative technology behind the interactive wall and developed the winter wonderland snowflake game. Inside the pavilion, Moment Factory created the visual backdrops for performances by numerous Quebecois artists.
