Lucian Bute

As boxer Lucian Bute enters the stadium packed with 20 000 fans, the atmosphere is electric. On the LED screens overhead a massive image of Bute dances and punches in time to the music, superhuman and triumphant. Primed, the crowd roars as the champion makes his way  to the ring.

Evenko and Interboxe asked Moment Factory to produce a video that would help create a spectacle for the introduction and entrance of Lucian Bute for his fight at the Bell Centre on April 17th, 2010. Moment Factory created a video that portrays the boxer as larger-than-life, a mythical man in a supercharged universe.

Bute was filmed during his training in Miami. The images were reworked and edited rhythmically to synchronize with a song by U2 to create maximum impact. The video was constructed to be exciting and explore the metaphorical relationship between the athletic prowess of boxers and that of animals known for their power, strength and agility.
